ALVIN STERLING SILVER SERVICE FOR 8 SOUTHERN CHARM 1947

Set of sterling silver flatware by Alvin Silver Co. The pattern is called Southern Charm and was first introduced in 1947. Alvin began their business in 1886 and later was purchased by Gorham in 1928. This set consists of 8 each of the following: knives, soup spoons, salad forks, dinner forks, teaspoons, pickle forks and individual butter knives. There is also a salad mixing set, gravy ladle and large serving spoon. The set is marked "Alvin Sterling Pat. Southern Charm". Total of 60 pieces housed in a very attractive wood blond stained box. Both set and box are in excellent condition.
