GOLDSCHEIDER POTTERY PORCELAIN COCKER SPANIEL DOG

Goldscheider Pottery was the producer of this beautiful porcelain cocker spaniel dog. This Trenton N.J. company produced excellent porcelain items from 1943 into the 1950's. Known as Goldscheider Everlast Corp. these fine craftspeople had been making these fine products for 3 hundred years prior to coming to the United States from Vienna when Hitler invaded their country. They used a special technique in their porcelain making, giving it more hardness and decorating abilities as well as other qualities. This piece measures almost 11 inches across by 5 inches high. It has some crazing on the body but otherwise in excellent plus condition. It has several marks on the bottom. Incised are the numbers 843, 9, 10 and stamped their logo "Goldscheider (large G)U.S.A." as well as Goldscheider-Everlast Corp.
