LIMITED EDITION OIL ON CANVAS RED SKELTON PAINTING

Not only was Red Skelton a master comedian but an artist whose works command 6 figure numbers. To give more people an opportunity to enjoy his works, several of his paintings were made into oil copies that are selling in the $1000.00 area. This one is an oil on canvas titled "THE PHILOSOPHER". It is signed twice on the front (and dated 1979 as one signature is when painting was originated) and also on the back. On the back is also the authenticating logo of a circle with facimile of Red Skelton and marked "This is an Authorized Reproduction by Red Skelton. It is also numbered 1906/5000. The painting measures 18 inches by 14 inches and with the frame 23 inches by 19 inches and is in excellent condition.
