VINTAGE STERLING COMPACT W/ ABALONE STONE

Sterling compact with a beautiful 3/8 inch by 7/8 inch abAlone stone in the center. Not marked as to maker the compact is marked sterling. It is missing the powder puff and all the powder has been used. It measures 2 3/8 inches aquare. The cover has 2 very small dented areas and the mirror does have some minor spots. Neither problems distract from the overall appearance. I can only estimate the age as probably about 1960
