Beswick located in Longton, Staffordshire, England produced a fine porcelain product very similar in look and quality to Royal Doulton, from the 1930's to present when bought out by Royal Doulton. This is one of their very early pieces from the Dickens series. It bears the 1930's mark "Beswick Ware made in England". Also incised in the mold is the number "281" and the name "Tony Weller". It is a large jug measuring approx. 7 inches high by 7 1/2 inches across and except for some mild crazing is in perfect condition.
