SHELLEY CHESTER SHAPE CUP & SAUCER PATTERN HELMES ROSE

Fine English Bone China cup and saucer by Shelley. Pattern number is 13257 and is called Helmes Rose. Backstamp dates this set between 1942 and 1966. I consider Shelley to be the Cadillac of fine bone china. The pale green saucer and the floral pattern in the center is also repeated on the cup with the flowers on the base and the pale green along the top half. There is a slight gold trim around the slightly scalloped rim of the cup and saucer. The outside of the cup and handle are white with a green trim and gold on the handle.
