MATCHBOX SPEED KINGS NO. K-49-A AMBULANCE 1973

This vehicle is from the Matchbox Superfast Series but in the larger scale Speed Kings. Due to the advent of the Mattel Hot Wheels with their frictionless wheels, Matchbox introduced this series in 1969. This one is number K-49-A1 Ambulance and was issued in 1973. It has a white body, red roof, red interior, clear windows, blue dome light and Ambulance labels and measures 4.5". It is in mint condition as it has never been played. It comes in the original box which is in excellent condition and the 2 ambulance attendants and stretcher with patient. Bottom is marked "Matchbox Superfast K-49 Ambulance Made in England 1974 Lesney Products & Co. No.43". See all my vintage toy listings.
