Rare bronze medal of the Normandie luxury liner and a souvenir of a sailing to Rio de Janeiro in 1938. Built by the Chantiers de l'Atlantique, in St. Nazaire, France. She began service in 1935 and was the largest and fastest ship ever to be built. Her interior was a work of art for example the main dining room was decorated in hammered glass and bronze with Lalique fixtures. The medal measures almost 2.75 inches across and .25 inches thick. On the edge is stamped the word "Bronze" and a cornucopia. Condition is excellent. Shipping by Priority Mail to anywhere in the U.S.A. is $5.00 plus insurance.
