Antique Gavel St. Andrews Masonic Lodge No.16 Canada

Offering this antique gavel that is from the St. Andrews Lodge #16 of Ontario Canada. It is one of the oldest North America lodges originating in 1822. Not sure how far back this gavel goes but it is a very unusual style and I can only estimate pre 1900. It has a silver top that identifies it as this lodge (see enlargement). There is some minor damage to the silver plate but it still retains all the information in readable form. Gavel measures 10" tall and 3" across at the widest point. Condition is very good not showing any damage or excessive wear to the wood section. What I see is a very beautiful patina to the wood.
