SHEAFFER WHITE DOT DESK SET 14KT GOLD NIB

This offering is for a great Sheaffer White Dot desk set. The black base is either onyx or marble and in excellent condition. Base measures 5" x 3.5". The pen has a 14kt gold nib and it is the "Lifetime" variety that was first introduced in 1943. I am not sure of the age of this set but believe it was at least prior to 1970. If this would help determine the age the nib reads "Sheaffer's Lifetime Reg. US Pat. Off. Made in USA 14K". And on the pen it is inscribed "W A SHEAFFER PEN CO. Fort Madison IOWA, USA Made in USA".
