S. HANCOCK & SONS ANTIQUE 5 PIECE VANITY SET

This is a fabulous 5 piece set that came from the famous Staffordshire England area known as Stoke-on-Trent. It was produced in the town of Hanley by S. Hancock & Sons that was in business from 1851 to 1937. This set was introduced between 1923 and 1937 during their Corona Ware period. The pattern is Verlaine. The main decorator artist for the Corona Ware was Molly Hancock but I am not sure if she decorated this set. It includes the large tray that measures 8.5" x 12.25", hair retainer, trinket box, candle holders and small tray. It is in excellent condition only showing minor wear on the gold trim that is on the edge of all the pieces. Not only is this set in excellent condition but finding all the pieces together is also very difficult.
