NEW WHARF POTTERY FLOW BLUE PLATE PATTERN ASTORIA

Offering this flow blue plate from Burslem England in the Staffordshire area known as Stoke-on-Trent. The pattern is Astoria and it bears a mark of Wood & Son that was the forerunner of New Wharf Pottery that dates the piece between 1891 & 1907. New Wharf Pottery was in operation between 1878 to 1894. Although the mark is of Wood & Son the name in the ribbon is New Wharf Pottery. Wood & Sons operated between 1865 & 2005.
