Connecticut Foundry English Galleon Cast 1928 Bookends

Great vintage bookends produced by the Connecticut Foundry. Located in Rocky Hill, CT, they produced a line of sand cast metal bookends that had a distinctive style characterized by very soft details and only in iron. Their line of bookends went out of production sometime between the Great Depression and the beginning of World War II. This pair of an English Galleon are dated 1928 and are marked with the Foundry logo of a "C" inside a triangle inside a circle. They also have the number "927". Beautiful patina on these excellent condition cast iron bookends that measure 6" tall by 5.5" across.
