GOLD HEART PENDANT ON HENKEL & GROSSE CHAIN

The beauty of this piece is the Henkel & Grosse 16" chain. I do not believe that the gold toned heart is original to the piece but that is how I obtained it and that is how I am listing it. Grosse" is the trademark for the upscale costume jewelry produced by Henkel & Grosse of Pforzheim, Germany since 1938. The company was the primary manufacturer of finer costume jewelry for Christian Dior. The designed jewelry was made with gold plated and rhodium plated base metals, though I have no way of testing whether this piece is actually gold plated. The finish is in wonderful condition. Necklace is marked Grosse with a crown over the G which is the mark that was used from 1955 until 1979. Clasp is round spring type. Excellent condition.
