Old Large Persian Necklace/chain Silver Brass & Agate
$185.00 or Best Offer
This beautiful and unusual piece can only be from Persia (now known as Iran). It does not have markings but bears a coin of 2000 dinars that was issued about 1900 during the reign of Sultan Ahmad Shah. It is a very large piece and the ornate setting is some form of lower grade of silver. Not sterling quality but some combination of either brass & silver or another form. It is so unusual with various types and shapes of polished Agate Gemstone cabochons set within the ornate setting which measures 3-1/2" across. The chain is 48" and made up of brass and is a combination of rings of 10mm across connected by sections of 10mm by 4mm bent ovals. There is also a clasp about 12" up on one side where the length of your choice can be adjusted. This can only be a "one of a kind" item. Condition is excellent. As with all my listings of jewelry it is being offered with free shipping in the U.S.A. only. Insurance is extra.
