This is a oriental wooden fan in box with glass cover. The fan is 8 inches when closed. It is 13 1/2 inches across when fanned open. There is a delicate design cut out in the top part of each fan section. The middle section has a painting painted in color on the front and the backside(the paintings are different). The outer sections have more delicate designs cut out of the wood. There is some writing on the back, don't know if it is Chinese or Japanese. The top edge of each fan section ...click for details
