This is a collector plate painting titled "Grand Turk" "Passage to China, American Ships of the China Trade" by marine artist Raymond Massey. On December 5, 1785 the Grand Turk, an ex-privateer sailed from Salem, Massachusetts bound for trade a the French island of Mauritus. She was charted to sail on to china making the Grand Turk the second American ship to arrive in China flying the stars and stripes.
