This berry or serving spoon is 8 3/4" and in excellent condition. There are no dents or dings. The pattern is "Beaded" by Gorham. The retailer is George Shreve. It is marked "Geo. C. Shreve & Co" and "Patent 1861" and "coin". San Francisco, Ca 1865.

These 5 1/2" teaspoons are in excellent condition. No dents, no bowl wear. 3 or 4 have slight bends where the handle thins, but there is no cracking or other structural damage. They are unmarked but I believe they are American because of there looks and particularly because of the featheredge monogram.(picture 2) Ca 1800/1810.

There are 46 pieces in this set. There are 11 8 1/4" serving spoons, 11 7 7/8" flat dessert knives, 12 6 5/8" dessert forks, and 12 8" dinner forks. All are heavy (dinner forks and serving spoons weigh over 2 TR OZ each)with a total weight of appx 81 Tr Oz. The condition is exceptional. There are no breaks or repairs and the pattern is crisp. The pattern is "Union" by George Wendt and the retailer is Ball Black & Co. These are also marked "925". ...click for details

These coin knives are 7 1/2" and in usable condition. One has been repaired where the handle & blade meet and there are numerous small dents on the handles. This denting is normal on hollow handled knives of this age. Over 150 years the resin that fills the hollow handle shrinks and the thin silver dents when put in a drawer. They are hard to find in any condition. They are made by Albert Coles and so marked. Ca 1850/60.

These 7 5/8" dinner forks are in pristine condition. The tines are long and complete. There are no bends or breaks. The pattern is crisp. The pattern is "Tuscan". These are retailed by Bailey & Co in Philadelphia, and so marked including their makers marks. Ca 1850/55.

These teaspoons are 5 3/4" and in good condition. There are a few minor bowl dents but they are otherwise sound. The pattern is Duhme's #1. The monogram is "Nelson". Cincinnati, Ohio Ca 1865/70.

There are 12 forks and 10 teaspoons. These teaspoons and dessert forks are 6" and 7" respectively. All are in excellent condition with no dents or dings. The pattern is crisp. They are marked "W M & J.B. Mayo" and "W&H". The Mayo's were in business as a partnership 1867/68. W&H is Wood & Hughes of NY who made the set. Chicago, Ca 1867/68.

This Southern coin silver cup is 3 3/8" tall (not including the handle) and 2 5/8" in diameter. The handle seems to have never been off (thats a miracle!). There are a few minor dents around the lower part of the body. The decoration is crisp. It is marked "Gregg Hayden & Co" and "C&B". Gregg Hayden & Co were in Charleston and I am unable to locate C&B.
