This is a nice 1835 coin silver teaset. The pot is about 9 3/4" including the finial. The condition is excellent with only a couple of minor dents. The set weighs almost 63 Tr Oz. It is marked "W. Adams" and "New York". William Adams was president of the New York City Board Of Aldermen, 1842 & 1843. The style is typical of the 1835 period. The teaset that follows (#6220) is an interesting copy of this style made 25 years later.

No you are not seeing double. These are, in fact, very close to a pair, same size, mark, handle, engine turning, beading and base. But the engraving is different. They are 4" tall, oval 2" by 2 1/2". The condition is excellent with crisp enginr turning and engraving. One has a small dent. They are marked with Tifft & Whitings 3 symbol mark and "Pure Silver Coin". Ca 1855/60.
