This striking egg set was made by Gale & Willis in 1860. It is
monogramed "E.R.P. April 16, 1860". Gale & Willis worked in New York
between 1859 and 1862. Its about 10" tall and 8" in diameter. It consists
of 8 egg cups and the stand. Each engine turned cup is 2 1/2" tall
and each retains the bright gold wash in the bowl. Each is monogramed
"E.R.P.". There are 8 egg spoons, not original by Charles Shaver. The condition is
excellent, all engine turning is crisp. The silver swags and ropes
are all in good condition. A pretty piece.
