Poor man's Martele and 60 years older. There was another purveyor of silver who used the 950/1000 standard and that was Ball Black & Co. They were retailers and this set was made by "E. G. & B". This was Garret Eoff and Nicholas Bogert and Someone else who escapes me at present. This set is large and heavy, the pot about 10 1/2" including the finial and the set weighing 71.5 Tr Oz. The condition is excellent with only a couple of small dents and no repairs. Ca 1855/65.
