Coin silver serving spoon, John Curry, Philadelphia

You expect a Philadelphia spoon to be a cut above and this 8 7/8" example is no exception. It is beautiful condition with no bends, excessive wear or bends. It weighs 2.1 Tr Oz which makes it less than recent melt value. It bothers me that a 175 year old piece of Americana virtually worthless. It is marked "J. Curry", "Phila" and an eagles head. Philadelphia, Ca 1825/35.
