The Stangl Shoveler Duck, #3455, was produced only from 1940 to 1947, making it a rare and highly sought after bird. The birds are hand-painted using natural colors and special glazes, often based upon illustrations by John James Audubon. This duck is approximately 12-1/4" x 14", marked beneath with the Stangl logo, #3455 and the artist's initials "ES".
