This little reticulated heart is a wonderful reminder of New Orleans past. Made by Victoria Ceramics in Japan, it measures 5" in diameter. Some of the scenes depicted on the plate are the Mississippi River Bridge, the St. Louis Basilica, the French Quarter, and more. This is an unsigned, hand-painted 8 1/2" plate, with pink and blue geraniums (with green leaves) on gorgeous white plate that has a detailed, embossed rim. The plate was manufactured in Japan, and it has the holes in the bottom rim to facilitate a hanging wire (not included). The piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Painted on an 8" plate, this piece is signed Sommer, The first name is there, but we are unable to determine what it is, and the plate is not dated.
