Coronado dinnerware was made from 1940-54, but the mark on this plate (same as coral photo but without a number beneath it) indicates a production date between 1940 and 1947. 8" Franciscan salad plate by Gladding-McBean. This particular style plate could easily be "Metropolitan" or "Tiempo" as both had the rounded corners, both had salad plates that measured approximately 8", and both came in yellow. The actual shade of yellow seems to be the determining factor, but without both to compare, we are unable to determine just to which pattern this plate belong. Hard to find individual covered soup bowl by Winfield, once a very popular California pottery company. This bowl is from their pattern "WIN61" which is a soft blue with chocolate brown trim. The bowl shows use that is evidenced by slight staining to the crazing that is normal with a piece of this age.
