Beautiful 7.25" salad/dessert plate with gold trim. The plate is marked with the Two Phoenix mark of long-forgotten NK Porcelain (sometimes referred to as "Japan China") and "Made in Occupied Japan". This plate is marvelous condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or utensil marks, though some of the gold design on an inner band has begun to fade a bit. For collectors of Blue Willow, this is a great find.

The plate has beautiful pink roses with leaves fading to pale on a beautiful white plate with an embossed pattern along the scalloped band. Our offering of American china painting continues with this hand-painted 8 1/2" (including handle) X 4 1/4" nappy. This piece is also signed by Marie Morris.
The nappy is decorated with blue forget-me-nots on a pale blue band. Ms. Morris used a light yellow wash in the bottom of the nappy to create a soft contrast. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing...

Here is a different example of American porcelain painting. It's a 5 1/2" X 6" heart shaped box has been painted with forget-me-nots and signed, "Hand painted by B. Robertson" and dated 1964.
The outside of the box and the background on the lid are a pale pink and the picture has clusters of beautiful blue forget-me-nots. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Call it overglaze, china or porcelain painting, this is a keeper.
