Winfield Individual Covered Soup

Hard to find individual covered soup bowl by Winfield, once a very popular California pottery company. This bowl is from their pattern "WIN61" which is a soft blue with chocolate brown trim. The bowl shows use that is evidenced by slight staining to the crazing that is normal with a piece of this age. The bowl has a 2" square base that extends to a 4" circular top opening and stands 2 1/2" tall. All measurements are without lid and handles. The square base is to match the plates which were square with rounded corners. The bottom mark indicates this was an early Winfield piece, probably from the late 40s to the early 50's. By the late 50's the marks had been replaced with paper labels. There are no chips or cracks, and the bowl is still quite attractive and usable today.
