Complete set of commemorative glasses celebrating 150 years of Texas independence. These glasses were commissioned by Shell Oil in 1986 and represent six famous sites in Texas history. The images on the glasses were originally painted by Norman Baxter, and the reverse of each glass includes a brief description of the site and its importance to Texas. This is a great set for Texas history buffs or Texas ex-pats who would like to brag about their home state. All of the glasses are in excellent condition. The attached pictures do not do them justice, as they are all white frosted glasses, with black artwork. There is no other color present. Any color in the pictures is simply the result of lighting (and poor editing).
