Hand Painted Blue Nappy

Our offering of American china painting continues with this hand-painted 8 1/2" (including handle) X 4 1/4" nappy. This piece is also signed by Marie Morris. The nappy is decorated with blue forget-me-nots on a pale blue band. Ms. Morris used a light yellow wash in the bottom of the nappy to create a soft contrast. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Whether you call it china painting, porcelain painting, or overglaze painting, this is a wonderful example.
