Beautiful two-volume set of The Art of the West by Henri Focillon, handsomely printed by Phaidon in 1963. Heavily illustrated. Volume I, Romanesque Art, has 159 plates. The previous owner's name is written on the inside cover and there are numerous underlinings and notes on the text pages. That owner apparently did not get to Volume II, Gothic Art, because there are no underlinings. That volume has 165 plates.
