Rare advertising or promotional wine taster or tastevin signed Henriot Quimper and made for the famous Graves (Bordeaux) wine Chateau La Mission-Haut Brion. This probably dates from about 1960 when the vineyard was owned by the Woltner family according to a source at the chateau. The tastevin is 5 inches the long way across the handle and the bowl has a diameter of 4 inches. It is about 1 1/4 inches high. This is a wonderful item for the collector of rare antique car memorabilia. It is a very well made and detailed change purse in the shape of a chauffeur’s cap made out of chrome-plated metal and good quality leather. The top has a detailed inset relief scene of two people being driven by a chauffeur down a country road in a vintage touring car.
