These are crisp and attractive cast iron Harvard bookends with the Veritas motto in a raised shield with the original gold paint. Bradley & Hubbard made some of the best quality cast iron bookends in the early and middle of the 20th century, and these are up to snuff. They are very heavy, measuring 6 inches in width and 6 1/4 inches in height. On the back is the maker's B&H mark. They are in very good condition. They were probably made between 1930 and 1950.
