The coin was struck by The Royal Mint of Great Britain in 1977 in honor of the 25th anniversary of of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and bears a new effigy of the Queen on horseback. The reverse of the coin displays the Ampulla and Annointing Spoon from the Royal Regalia, encircled by a floral border and surmounted by a Royal Crown. TBTA token used on New York City area bridges and tunnels from 1982 to 1997 when E-Z Pass displaced the tokens. Listed on the reverse are: Triborough, Bronx Whitestone, Verrazano Narrows, Brooklyn Battery. Queens Midtown, and Throgs Neck (Brooklyn Battery and Queens Midtown are tunnels, the others are bridges.) I believe it is copper plated steel. Diameter is 1 1/4 inches' the edge is reeded.
