Christofle silver plated salad set in an Art Deco patter, probably dating from 1930-1950. The fork is 10 1/8 inches long while the spoon is 9 5/8 inches long. The fork is hallmarked with the usual Christofle marks. The set is quite heavy.

Antique Old Sheffield Plate (OSP) two-part wine funnel made in England, dating from about 1820. All parts of this piece show seams, which is as it should be in genuine OSP. Seymour B. Wyler in his book on Sheffield Plate wrote, "Only passing reference need be made to such isolated examples of Sheffield Plate as wine funnels, strainers and tasters. Although specimens have been unearthed, proving beyond a doubt that these were numbered among the products of the platers, only a few were made. ...click for details
