First Edition, First Printing of this remarkable one-act play, written in 1941 but not performed until 1958 in Sweden and first published in 1959. Jason Robards played the lead when the play was first performed in New York City in 1964. This is a mint condition copy in dust wrapper (dust wrapper protected by mylar cover). O'Neill, considered by many to be America's greatest dramatist, won three Pulitzer Prizes and is the only American to have won the Nobel Prize for literature.

This copy was purchased in 1957 from a well-known antiquarian bookseller on Madison Avenue in New York City whose firm had purchased 10 copies when the book was published and still had one some original stock remaining.
