The coin was struck by The Royal Mint of Great Britain in 1977 in honor of the 25th anniversary of of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and bears a new effigy of the Queen on horseback. The reverse of the coin displays the Ampulla and Annointing Spoon from the Royal Regalia, encircled by a floral border and surmounted by a Royal Crown. Attractive color card, unused and in good condition, of Quiet Man Cottage of which it says on the back: "This traditional cottage is a replica of that which appeared in the 'Quiet Man Film', which was filmed within a 20 mile radius of here. Two attractive color post cards from Nova Scotia: Fishermen Mending Nets, Peggy's Cove and Coastal View, Near Yarmouth. They are marked on the back as Majestic, a brand name. They are numbers KS-7126 and KS-7694. I am also including, at no charge, a card that came with them, apparently torn out from a booklet of cards, that depicts Cape Rouge on the Scenic Cabot Trail. The cards are all unused, in very good condition.

Antique blown glass topette with six rings from an old French bar. Each ring represented a dose, or one drink, of absinthe, which was diluted with water, often poured over a sugar cube, before drinking. The bar patron was charged for however many doses he or she consumed. This topette was hand blown in heavy lead glass, has a nice polished pontil on the bottom and also has some of the characteristics one finds in hand blown pieces...

These cards were given out by banks and other institutions to help French people understand the value of the new euro currency compared to the franc which had been in use for many years. They are interesting and informative records of the transition period, which actually lasted for several years. The euro currency was introduced on 1 January 2002 and both currencies were legal to use until 17 February 2002 after which only the euro could be used...
