These are three very good looking and heavy brass plated wall brackets which would hold a one-inch diameter rod which could be metal, glass or wood. They would make a stunning statement in a powder room or bathroom. They feel very hefty — each one weighs about one pound, fourteen ounces for a total of five pounds, ten ounces. The brackets would protrude 9¾ inches from a wall. The bases of the brackets are 5½ inches high by 2¾ inches wide. I would think these date from around 1910...

Rare antique glass from a French bar used to serve absinthe. This style is known as an East glass because it was supposedly used in the East of France, in areas around Lyon. This is a heavy, hand-blown glass with a polished pontil. It has a dose mark marking the level to which it was filled with absinthe. Water was added to the liquor, making a cloudy drink. I personally like the glasses with dose marks because you can be sure they were used for a drink like absinthe to which water was added...

George III silver brandy label of rectangular shape with cut corners made by the well-regarded firm of Thomas Phipps and Edward Robinson of London in 1806. It is engraved with their distinctive blocked lettering. The chain is original and the condition is excellent. Width is 1 5/8 inches. A fine decoration for your decanters or addition to your collection of wine labels.

This is the first time we have had a yellow topette, the special type of decanter used in a French bar to serve measured doses of absinthe. The drinker was charged for the number of doses consumed. This one is molded and probably dates from the later years of the absinthe era or a bit later when it might have been used for other drinks that were diluted with water such as pastis or gentian flavored potions. It is 9 3/4 inches tall.

Good gravy or sauce ladle by prominent London silversmith George Smith made in 1798. Inn the Old English pattern, popular at the time, it is in fine condition fully hallmarked, with a well-executed period script monogram on the handle. Length is 7 inches.j

Handsome cold meat fork, 7 13/16 inches long, in the Watteau pattern by Durgin, which was patented in 1891. Condition is excellent. Monogrammed. More photos, including closeups on the handle and marks, are available and can be emailed on request.

Privately printed in 1960, this is #111 of 500 printed. It reproduces inscriptions from Eugene O'Neill, America's greatest playwright, to his wife, Carlotta Monterey O'Neill. They inscriptions of on copies of books, photographs, love notes, etc. The originals were given by Carlotta O'Neill to the Yale Library for the Eugene O'Neill Collection. This copy was purchased when it was published. It is in "like new" condition...

First Edition, First Printing of this remarkable one-act play, written in 1941 but not performed until 1958 in Sweden and first published in 1959. Jason Robards played the lead when the play was first performed in New York City in 1964. This is a mint condition copy in dust wrapper (dust wrapper protected by mylar cover). O'Neill, considered by many to be America's greatest dramatist, won three Pulitzer Prizes and is the only American to have won the Nobel Prize for literature.
