Fine early tablespoon by one of the rarest Southern makers, Martin Noxon of Edenton, North Carolina. It has a pointed handle and dates from about 1805. It is in excellent condition, measuring 8 7/16 inches and weighing 1.68 troy ounces. It also has a beautifully engraved, elegant script monogram on the handle. I have also noted that the hallmark is the only one I know which reads the same upside down...

Handsome Bowfront with Maine Provenance Federal bowfront chest of drawers of probable Maine origin. Nicely crafted with parallel string inlay around the top edges, light contrasting inlay outlining the drawers and particularly vibrant mahogany veneer on the drawer fronts. Brasses are original. The chest probably was made in Maine, possibly by the Radford brothers of Portland, who were active about the time this piece was made. 1800-1810...

These three photographs were in old frames. they ae all between 6 1/2 and 7 inches wide and between 9 and 9 1/2 inches high. There is some damage around the edges (chips, etc.) and the darker one of the soldier sitting has a crease in the left side, a split at the top.. They are somewhat brittle. Most of these defects can be seen in the scans. I am not sure but I think these may be from the World War I era.

This is an official U. S. Army Photograph of General Willard G. Wyman, inscribed "To Jason Burns with Warm Good Wishes, W G Wyman". It is an 8 by 10 matte photo. It is dated on the back 21 March 1956 and has an official Army stamp spelling out rules for its use. Wyman, who was a commander at the Normandy landings, was born in 1898 in Augusta, Maine, and died in 1969 in Washington. It is in good condition. There is a light crease at the upper left corner.
