Navajo Blanket, 1972 Catalog with Great History, Photos

This is really a terrific publication, produced to accompany an exhibit that traveled to museums in Los Angeles, Window Rock (AZ), Brooklyn, Rice University, Kansas City and Hamburg, Germany. Authors are Mary Hunt Kahlenberg and Anthony Berlant; it was published by Praeger in association with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. A large softcover (12 inches high by 9 inches wide), it has 112 pages with sections on history, technique and materials and stylistic development as well as dozens of detailed photos of Navajo rugs of all periods in color and black and white. It is truly a course on the subject. The book is unmarked and in very good condition with only minor signs of age and use.
