Amusing Vintage Plate Satirizing Flying, Pilots AS IS

Funny French satirical transfer plate making fun of flying and private pilots (L'Aviation), an amusing collectible and great gift for the enthusiast of aviation. The caption reads: “-Que pilote votre camarade? biplan ou monoplan? - Ma fois, je crois fort que c’est un reste en plan.” Dating from about 1925, this plate is 7 3/4 inches in diameter and is marked on the back with the stamp for St. Amand Etablisements Ceramiques. There is a chip on the front at about 11 o’clock --otherwise the plate is in good condition.
