Quite Amusing Vintage Plate Satirizing Swimming - AS IS

Funny French satirical transfer plate making fun of the sport of swimming (La Natation), a charming collectible and great gift for the enthusiast of the sport. The caption translates as, “Help, help! You have only saved my wig!”.” Dating from about 1925, this plate is 7 3/4 inches in diameter and is marked on the back with the stamp for St. Amand Etablisements Ceramiques. Condition is fair. There is a two-inch hairline crack coming in from the rim at about 4 o’clock. There are also a few small stains visible on the front. These defects are visible on the photograph. Being sold "as is".
