18th Century Coin Silver Salt Spoon by John Vernon

Very good quality salt spoon or ladle with pointed-end handle and beautiful feathered script monogram "R" made around 1790 by John Vernon of New York. The mark matches example "a" on page 421 of Marks of American Silversmiths in the Ineson-Bissell Collection by Louise Conway Belden. Condition is excellent. Length is 4 1/8 inches.
