A Beautiful Carlsbad Austria Antique Bowl that is 9 3/4 inches in diameter by 2 1/4 inches deep. In very good condition with no chips, chigger bites, crazing, or cracks. Under the glaze on the rim that the bowl sits on are some small irregularities that have been glazed over. There is also wear on the gold edging that I think you can see in the photo. Marked, "L S & S - Carlsbad - Austria", and I tried to get a good photo of the mark, but I could not. There are numbers written on the bottom of the bowl, that are 1704 and 59, and upon examining the bottom closely, there is a number impressed, under the glaze, that looks like, 34. Lewis Strauss imported these pieces from 1895 to 1917. I have listed this Bowl under German China since it is the closest to being Austrian.
