A Very Unusual Hand Carved Duck Decoy that is carved out of a lightweight wood, but I do not know what kind of wood. This Decoy is 9 ¾ inches long from the tip of the duck’s bill to the tip of the tail, 4 3/8 inches to the top of the head, and 3 ¾ inches wide at the widest point. The body is 2 ¾ inches tall. As you can see from the photos, it has been painted, and the paint is worn off in a number of spots. There are no marks on the decoy as to where it was made or who carved it. I purchased the decoy at an estate sale and could not get any information on it. The Decoy is in very sound condition and there are no repairs.
