A Japanese Porcelain Covered Dish with a Chokin Design on the Lid that is 3 3/4 inches in diameter by 1 7/8 inches high to the top of the lid.
The mark on the bottom of the Dish is, “Designed Himark Giftware, Japan”, and “The Art of Chokin” is described, “Metal engravings from Japan are created by the ancient art of Chokin. Gilded with gold and silver, the engravings were originally created to decorate the armament of the SAMURAI warriors”. This covered dish is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing.
