A Very Old and Highly Sought After Pair of Sterling Silver Handled Poultry Shears, that are in very good condition. These Poultry Shears are 10 1/4 inches long from the end of the handles to the tip of the blades.
Each one of the Handles is marked, “Sterling Handle”, and there is no makers mark. The cutting blades appear to be Stainless Cutlery Steel and one of the blades is very sharp and the other blade has a sharp serrated edge. The Shears are held closed by a Thumb Screw, and the Coil Spring between the Handles is in very good working condition.
The Pattern of the Handles is very similar to the Fairfax pattern made by Gorham and also William Durgin, and they are not monogrammed.
