Elsa Schiaparelli was one of the great designers of all time and this is a piece of her 1950's classic modern jewelry. Set in a gold-plated frame, the rhinestone pin has a scalloped openwork edge. The center dome raises up with sparkling white crystal rhinestones. The pin measures 1 1/2 inches across. High quality setting with secure closure. Marked SCHIAPARELLI on the back. Excellent condition. This pin is as close to fine jewelry as costume jewelry can come.

This vintage oil painting of a nude came from a fine South Florida estate. The model is a picture of calm and comfort in her skin, much of which is artfully shown lounging. The painting is signed ALINE. The stretched canvas painting is without a frame. The painting measures 24 by 18 inches. The colors are soft and restful. The flowers near the easel are a bright spot...but nothing that detracts from the lovely nude. Excellent condition.

Here's a great mid-century glass bowl that looks like a scarf. It's periwinkle blue with white polka dots and perfectly shaped out of glass into a free-form scarf with 4 corners. Measures 9 1/2 inches across by 7 inches high. Negligible wear to bottom edges. Overall in excellent condition. Unusual Eames era design.

This neat vintage pin conjures up visions of Fred and Ginger...mostly Fred with top hat and cane, dancing the night away. Here's a great example of old 1930's genuine carved Bakelite in a color that's hard to find...black. This pin is heavily carved with thick-petaled roses in an openwork carved-through design. It's a big one...3 1/4 by 2 inches and 1/4 inch thick! Back has the original imbedded 2-piece pinback with safety-catch closure. Pin is in excellent condition.
