This pretty vintage butter dish by Royal Staffordshire was designed by the highly-collectible designer Clarice Cliff. Circa 1950, the dish combines black and white flowers with an English Manor scene. There are a couple of very minor glaze pops on the underside and overall age crazing. This piece has a hand-shaped form...note the uneven bump on one side. Overall, dish is in excellent condition...no chips or cracks.

Shiver your timbers...this hand-painted toby mug by Shorter & Sons Ltd.- England is the famous rascal LONG JOHN SILVER. He's got a peg-leg, eye patch, a parrot on his shoulder and a pirate's scowl. The handle is a skull and bone. This vintage circa 1940s mug measures 5 1/2 inches high. Base is marked with maker's stamp and embossed LONG JOHN SILVER. There's slight age crazing. Overall, it's in excellent condition...no chips, cracks or fleabites.
