This lot of original vintage 1940s-1950s postcards feature African-Americans back in the days when they were called blacks, Negroes and 'colored folks'. These are all linen-finish postcards that have never been used. Two of the cards are captioned 'Uncle Tom...an old-fashioned Southern Negro', and 'Old Black Joe'. These original GOLLIWOG (or Goliwog) tin lithographed pinbacks were made to promote GOLDEN SHRED, an English jam. These were among the last giveaways made by the company. The pins measure 1-inch across and come in blue, white, red and yellow. The Golliwog character is similar to the old Sambo...maybe even inspired by him. The lot of pins are in excellent condition.

This vintage Zuni sterling silver bracelet comes from the estate of a Hollywood set designer who purchased Native American jewelry in the 1950s - 1960s. This classic cuff measures 2 1/4 inches across the inside with a one-inch opening to slip the bracelet on (perfect on a woman's average-size 6-inch wrist). The bracelet weighs 47.3 grams of silver. It's big!...2 7/8 by 3 1/2 inches. This vintage signed VENDOME pin is Asian-inspired and very impressive. The goldtone openwork frame holds a carved-through piece of faux jade that's actually genuine Bakelite. The pin on the back was either added, repaired or manufactured with silver solder but in any case, the pin is secure with a safety-catch closure. This great old Navajo ring was made by Native American master silversmith Phil Chapo whose name is stamped on the back. The ring is a beauty with a large genuine turquoise and one genuine red coral stone set in the signatory sterling silver leaf and floral work for which Chapo is famous. Ring size is 8.5. The top of the ring measures 3/4 by 1 5/8 inches. It's in excellent condition.

Here's a great original vintage cardboard advertising sign for FAIRBANKS GOLD DUST WASHING POWDER - LEVER BROTHERS COMPANY. This is circa 1940s when Levers was still selling this product to Latin American countries. Sign measures 7 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches and is made of sturdy cardboard that has 2 punch holes near the top where a string was put for hanging. Shows the classic GOLD DUST black twins logo. Very slight wear to corners. Sign was never used and is in excellent condition.
