This unique necklace is marked U.S. ZONE GERMANY which dates it between 1946 to 1949. The design falls somewhere between art deco and modernist with curved dangles that remind me of a Calder mobile. The goldtone metal links are solid. Necklace measures 14 to 16 inches, depending on where you clasp it. Each hinged dangle measures 1 1/4 inches high. Necklace is marked on the end link. Will buff up to a brighter shine if that's your preference but original patina is nice.

Krementz has always been known for its fine gold and gold-filled jewelry and here's one of their wonderful old vintage choker-style necklaces which is either gold-filled or rolled-gold plated in both pink and yellow gold. No ordinary old collar, this one is beaded with hundreds of tiny colorful glass seed beads. It can be worn as a collar on a dress or blouse or turned around as a fabulous bib collar necklace. Measures 2 5/8 inches wide...15 1/2 inches around. There's a pearl button closure. Excellent condition.

This long necklace of old genuine (tested) Bakelite beads is a deep orange color. The beads graduate in size up the strand with the large center bead measuring 17mm across. The necklace measures 30 inches around. The slide-in clasp is topped off with a Bakelite bead. All the beads are bright and intact...necklace is in excellent condition. Great old Bakelite.

Here's a great old Czech necklace, made of black jet beads with tiny metal spacers. These are strung together in a 'daisy chain' effect. This necklace is from the 1930s (maybe older) and because of that, I have to warn that the old thread might be fragile. Some of the tiny metal beads are also age-tarnished and I'm not sure how you'd clean them. With that said, this is a fabulous example of old Czech jewelry...the clasp is marked CZECHOSLOVAKIA. If you like unique, one-of-a-kind jewelry, you might like this handmade 1960's jeweler's take on seashells. I'm no expert on mollusks but this is a great brass necklace of links that look like clamshells. There's lots of detail and texture. Necklace measures 19 inches long by 1 7/8 wide at center. The dark spot on left side is just bad lighting...not on the necklace. Unmarked, excellent condition.

This came from a woman who traveled all over the world, including Africa, Mexico and China so I'm not sure where this came though I'm certain it's not 'local'.
